And The Birthday Continued......

As seen earlier I got Chad Friday's Front Row D-backs Tickets for his birthday so we headed down to Barb and Jack's (Chad's sis and hubby) house on Friday evening so we could go to the D-backs game Saturday evening. Saturday Nathan (nephew) had a baseball game and whats a better time than at noon to have a baseball game in Phoenix.....we LOVE Phoenix heat! Anyway Nathan is a pitcher, first baseman and a catcher so we had to go watch the man play ball despite the 102 degrees of wonderful heat outside.
Rachel and Kenna had fun running around playing at Nathan's game. RiKenna's face was bright cherry red about 10 mins after we got there....I think the kids are officially adapted to the Flagstaff weather too!
Here's the big man in action.....He was the best pitcher and boy were we glad that it didn't take him long to strike 3 out!
Here's Jack. Jack is one of Nathan's coaches. Why does Jack get the "Coach of the Year" award? Nathan is playing catcher and says "Hey Dad my hand is really hurting!" Coach of the Year yells "You're gonna have to suck it up son you gotta play ball!" funny as that was just as Jack yelled that to Nathan the batter almost got hit by the pitcher and the batter's dad yells "Com'on son take one for the team!" Gotta Love those Dads!Barb and Chad enjoying that Arizona Heat!

So after we lost 10 lbs from sweating we headed off to the D-Backs game with Tyler and Janell. When you get Friday's tickets half of your ticket price goes towards food.....OH MY GOSH...We ATE and ATE and then ATE some more!
We took this picture right when we got there so we were still smiling....by the time we left I'm not sure we were smiling quite so big....okay so maybe it was just Janell and I because we ate 3 yes count them 3 desserts practically by ourselves...we had to fight Tyler a little for the brownie dessert but we manage to get that one down too!

Tyler trying to convince us we didn't want any of "his" brownie dessert. Sometimes I wonder if the alcohol Amy poured in his face when he was a baby affects him sometimes! Speaking of Alcohol.... This would be the sign we had to post at our table so we didn't get into a fight with every "very modest" bartender that came about every 5 mins...which gets old when you're there 3 hours....to offer us some kind of alcohol! We thought it was funny some people...not so much!
As we were sitting there my total aspirations in life flashed before my eyes. I think I long to be a "gate dragger" for the D-Backs! So when people ask me what I do for a living I can say "I drag a gate in circles so "boys" can play baseball and get paid LOTS of money" I don't know just sounds good to me!
After the game for some strange reason Chad and Tyler were VERY interested in this horse that Mr. Police man was riding....I think we stood there for 20 mins looking at this horse.....yeah still don't get it....
Thanks Tyler and Janell for a FUN time....can't wait for next year :)

The kids always have a great time when we spend time at Jack and Barb's house with all the kids. This was Kenna and Cayden 5 mins after we got in the truck to go home on Sunday after a exhausting weekend....Thanks guys for watching the kids while we went to the game!

Okay the birthday is officially OVER....We're OLD...Good Night!

Looks like Front Row is the way to do the D-backs games. Too bad their season is over. Maybe next year we can do a big group!
