And The Birthday Continued......

As seen earlier I got Chad Friday's Front Row D-backs Tickets for his birthday so we headed down to Barb and Jack's (Chad's sis and hubby) house on Friday evening so we could go to the D-backs game Saturday evening. Saturday Nathan (nephew) had a baseball game and whats a better time than at noon to have a baseball game in Phoenix.....we LOVE Phoenix heat! Anyway Nathan is a pitcher, first baseman and a catcher so we had to go watch the man play ball despite the 102 degrees of wonderful heat outside.
Rachel and Kenna had fun running around playing at Nathan's game. RiKenna's face was bright cherry red about 10 mins after we got there....I think the kids are officially adapted to the Flagstaff weather too!
Here's the big man in action.....He was the best pitcher and boy were we glad that it didn't take him long to strike 3 out!
Here's Jack. Jack is one of Nathan's coaches. Why does Jack get the "Coach of the Year" award? Nathan is playing catcher and says "Hey Dad my hand is really hurting!" Coach of the Year yells "You're gonna have to suck it up son you gotta play ball!" funny as that was just as Jack yelled that to Nathan the batter almost got hit by the pitcher and the batter's dad yells "Com'on son take one for the team!" Gotta Love those Dads!Barb and Chad enjoying that Arizona Heat!

So after we lost 10 lbs from sweating we headed off to the D-Backs game with Tyler and Janell. When you get Friday's tickets half of your ticket price goes towards food.....OH MY GOSH...We ATE and ATE and then ATE some more!
We took this picture right when we got there so we were still smiling....by the time we left I'm not sure we were smiling quite so big....okay so maybe it was just Janell and I because we ate 3 yes count them 3 desserts practically by ourselves...we had to fight Tyler a little for the brownie dessert but we manage to get that one down too!

Tyler trying to convince us we didn't want any of "his" brownie dessert. Sometimes I wonder if the alcohol Amy poured in his face when he was a baby affects him sometimes! Speaking of Alcohol.... This would be the sign we had to post at our table so we didn't get into a fight with every "very modest" bartender that came about every 5 mins...which gets old when you're there 3 hours....to offer us some kind of alcohol! We thought it was funny some people...not so much!
As we were sitting there my total aspirations in life flashed before my eyes. I think I long to be a "gate dragger" for the D-Backs! So when people ask me what I do for a living I can say "I drag a gate in circles so "boys" can play baseball and get paid LOTS of money" I don't know just sounds good to me!
After the game for some strange reason Chad and Tyler were VERY interested in this horse that Mr. Police man was riding....I think we stood there for 20 mins looking at this horse.....yeah still don't get it....
Thanks Tyler and Janell for a FUN time....can't wait for next year :)

The kids always have a great time when we spend time at Jack and Barb's house with all the kids. This was Kenna and Cayden 5 mins after we got in the truck to go home on Sunday after a exhausting weekend....Thanks guys for watching the kids while we went to the game!

Okay the birthday is officially OVER....We're OLD...Good Night!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO.......US!!

Some of you just might not know the very odd fact that Chad and I share the same birthday. You also may not know that Chad is 10 years older than me which makes BIG birthdays fun fun fun. The point of this story is yesterday was OUR birthday! I turned 30 but Chad turned 40!! I tried several different ways to have a surprise party for him but he seemed to screw every plan I had up so we just made it a birthday weekend for us both and had a blast. So here's the eventful weekend of Chad turning 40...... (this is my blog so I get to rub in that he's 40!!)

We started our "Birthday Weekend" by going out to dinner on Friday night with some great friends. I have never eaten Thai food so whats a better time then when you turn 30 right! We met up with Chase and Heather (Chad plays with Chase in Whiskey Rodeo) at Swadee Thai.....have to say it wasn't bad food....still would eat Mexican Food any day but Chase ordered all the right "safe" food!
Chase and Heather Holy Food Batman!

Not really sure what Chase is doing but here's Chad eating this wonderful Thai dessert that Heather called "Fried Air". Whatever it was it was REALLY good!
NEXT.......Saturday morning we got up and went out to the Cinders, which is a bunch of rocky land basically....dunes but with rocks...anyway we went out there to ride four wheelers with more friends....yea!! We went with Scott (who works with Chad at Rsc) his wife Karen, bro Ron and two daughters Lori and Katie. Surprise Surprise....We had a blast with the exception of a few minor bumps and bruises we made it out alive!
Ron Katie and Lori Ready to go I'm so impatient!

Chad's elbow after he rolled the quad on top of him down a hill. Then he decided he would "check the view". I think he has the same problem my son does!!!
Once again impatiently waiting for Scott's Ranger to get towed back to the truck since he was trying to be "cool" and broke the belt HA HA!! Lots of dirt, a few bruises, and some sore ribs ....but lots of fun!

Saturday wasn't over yet.........it was off to one of my favorite places

I love Outback Steakhouse.....All I need to say!
After we stuffed ourselves so much we couldn't move we were off again....to the Big Show! Both of the bands Chad plays in played Saturday Night (which is one way he screwed my "surprise" party plans up) They played at Charley's here in town and did an AWESOME job.....people love them and pack the place when they come to play.

"Bucket" started the night "Whiskey Rodeo" finished it off

Sunday......we went to Church very tired but we were there :)

MONDAY was really the BIG day.....so I started the morning by fibbing (sp?) a little to Chad and told him I had to be to work a little early what he didn't know is the only work I had to do early was totally destroy his office.....

Little did I know my co-workers did the same to mine!
Monday evening we had Rich, Lindsey and the kids over for presents, pizza, ice cream cake and a little Rockband!

Gettin Down on Rockband Rich, Lindsey, Kortlin and Kelsi eatin pizza

Chad got Friday's Front Row D-back tickets I obviously picked up the cake :)

And the night ended with my present from Chad.....
I'm to dumb to figure out how to turn this pic so turn your head :) Chad gave me a great foot massage machine thing....AWWWW

We had a great weekend and a great birthday thanks to all our GREAT family and friends. Happy Birthday Chad (since I know you check to see what I've been up to :)

Third Grade and Going Strong

I thought since I posted about Kenna's Parent Teacher Conference I have to post about Cayden's! So today I met with Ms. Foster Cayden's 3rd grade teacher and not to my surprise.....my child is an angel!! Ok not really but he is doing very well in school. He has 3 A+'s and 2 A-'s (are those even words?!?!) Anyway you get the point he's a smart kid....just like his mother! He really likes his school, his teacher and really likes living in Flagstaff now that he has made so many friends.
This picture has absolutely nothing to do with his liking school......its just hilarious and I thought this boring post needed a little something

Oh The Stress Of Kindergarten

Today was Parent-Teacher Conference for RiKenna. She started Kindergarten this year and has absolutely loved every minute. Chad and I went and met with her teacher Mrs. Carruthers today......who as a side note has 29 5 year olds to control by herself....WOW more power to the teachers....anyway we met with her teacher to find out how wonderful and smart she is....DUH like I thought she would say anything different.
Every night she comes home with "homework" she and Cayden fight over who's homework is harder. Her homework is a notebook with a letter on a piece of paper she cut out and glued into the notebook. She has to practice the "action" that goes with the sound of the letter and then practice writing the letter in the notebook ....... apparently this is very stressful for her because this is where I found her this afternoon shortly after we got home with her "homework" right next to her.......

Who Needs Vegas....When You Can Spend The Weekend With.....Chad and Becky!!

My boss suprised his wife for her birthday with a trip to Vegas. Part of the surprise was it was just the two of them and their kids stayed with me on Saturday. The kids were not to excited....in fact they were MAD!! They love to go to Vegas! So I had to think of something to make up for it. The City of Flag had their annual employee picnic so thats what we did first. Kids had a blast, the City had a bouncy house, ballon lady, cotton candy and lunch.

The kids have been dying to go to the new Aquaplex, the new "waterpark", so thats what we "attempted" to do next. However, the swimming pool was filled to capacity so they weren't letting anyone in for at least an hour.....WHATEVER!! So whats so much better than the Aquaplex and free to boot......The Lake!! Gabe and Lordes (my boss's kids) had never been to the lake so they were so excited!

Kids all ready to go in the boat

Lordes and Kenna lovin the tube!

Lordes and Gabe catchin some serious air in the tube!

Chad taught Gabe how to wake board took him a few tries to get up but after he got the hang of it he was a pro! In Gabe's words "It was tight"!!

And last but of course not least.....I even learned how to wake board!!! I decided despite the FREEZING cold water I had to try it.....Oh Yeah I got up my first try!!

So after the "Aquaplex" we stopped by McDonalds and got the kids some healthy dinner!

Piggly Wigglies
This is what was left after 8 yes I said 8 DOUBLE cheeseburgers and 3 EXTRA LARGE fries!!
After the kids ate they played the Wii but my camera was dead by then so I didn't get any pictures. But I think at the end of the day.....WHO NEEDS VEGAS....When you have Chad and Becky !! :)

Just a Few of My Least Favorite Things.....

I can't stand doing laundry. Everytime I empty a basket another full one shows up. Drives me Insane. Why can't we just recycle clothes like everything else......GO GREEN...WITH CLOTHES :) I think I'm on to something I could become rich off of this! Okay not really but I do really HATE laundry!

I hate collecting

Just love playing detective and trying to find all of the spots that if I don't spray will become permanant stains.

Hate Washing It!

or Drying It!

Folding It and Putting It Away should clearly be
against some kind of law.

So basically I've come to the conclusion that I liked laundry a lot better when I lived closer to my laundry fairy...a.k.a My Mom that would get so mad at me for piling my laundry on my couch after I washed it that she would just come over and do it all herself.....LOVED LAUNDRY!!

I HATE LAUNDRY....GOOD NIGHT!
