The Big Ski Event...and Other Random Weekend Happenings...

So the event of the weekend was going up to SnowBowl and skiing....well for me it was learning to ski! I had never been skiing and Fuzz (Chad's Dad) was bringing his scout troop...consisting of one boy....to go skiing so I took the chance to go and learn. So here's the pics to prove it....kinda.....Fashion isn't part of skiing right?........

Chad was showing me his sweet moves and said "Let me just get passed you and

just watch me"........I watched him alright.... Fall right on his butt!!! HA HA...That made me feel SOO good about

myself after I got to watch him try and get up for 5 mins....LOVED IT! Cause that was me about 15 times through the day!

Cayden put me to shame....He is such a good little skier and was half way down the hill by the time I could get my camera out....Of course I had already fallen 3 times! But we had a GREAT time! Thanks Fuzz!!

RiKenna had stayed home with Nana and they hung out all day with Linsey and the kids so they were at the house when we got home from the mountain.

The girls love Cayden for some reason and will always go to him....but not me!!

Chad said "Who wants a beating, raise your hand?" This was the response of the girls. HaHa they are the cutest kids! Thanks for coming over and playing we always have a great time!

A Night Of Bowling and ummm...Butts....

Over the weekend Chad and I went to Phoenix. Friday night we went out and went bowling with some friends this is kinda how the night went....

Ah....the shoes....aren't they cute....no really could they really make bowling shoes any uglier? Chad contemplating his new bowling moves....like professional moves!

I made them take a break from texting each other.....yes they were sitting next to each other...doesn't everyone text the person they're sitting next too?!?!

We suck at taking self pictures....oh well.....

Now comes the butt part of the night....I'm not even sure how this all happened but it did and I told Tye that I would post the butt evidence....hmmm...I think he just wanted a picture of Deanna's butt....so here ya go....

Of course we stayed at Barb and Jack's house while we were there and of course we went to "On The Border" for dinner and of course I forgot my camera....ugh I hate when I do that....however I did get this great shot of Nathan and I bonding.....

Aroma of Nastiness....

As I was minding my own business driving down the road to meet up with my lovely husband for lunch the other day.....UGH this awful aroma of nastiness engulfed my entire vehicle. Much to my disgust, I rolled down my window and the nastiness got nastier! (haha is that word) What in the world could be causing such an awful aroma but this........

I will apologize in advance if you are a King lover, however NEVER and I mean NEVER have a smelled something so awful as the aroma from Burger King. The worst part....not just here it's EVERYWHERE! I don't care where the "King" is HE STINKS!!

A Perfect Day For Sledding

Yesterday the weather wasn't too cold and Chad was busy doing "music stuff" so the kids and I decided it was a perfect day for sledding.....

Of course the first time down Kenna found the mud puddle!

Then she figured out she had more fun without the sled!

She tried to hit the jump but just couldn't quite keep it on track.

Cayden tried to use the sled for a snow board but.......
didn't work out so well for him!!

He did figure out how to hit the jump!

Then there was the game of dodge the trees.....similar to dodge traffic that Chad often tells them to go outside and play!! (joking of course!)

And The Winner Is.....

Cayden! I randomly entered Cayden into a "Jr Globetrotters" contest that the local radio station was having....all I did was had to type his name on their website...nothing more...nothing less....And HE WON!! What did he win......A Family "4 Pack" of tickets and.....

an early "Meet and Greet" with a few of the players! I had to take a picture by the guy on the right.....7'3" and Kenna was scared to death of him....that's one tall boy!

Autographed T-shirts to wear for the game....

Along with an autographed basketball And the best part....They were right in the middle of ALL the action....they sat on the bench with the Globetrotters!

Every time one of them was done with their towel they'd throw it on Cayden's head!
When it was time to hit the court.....jersey went on Cayden's head....hilarious!
Had to take a pic with the coach.....before the game he asked me if I was gonna play....couldn't believe how tall I was....I told him "I'm nothin compared to "SkyScraper (7'3")"
Of course we had to have the mascot "Globie"Since I bribed Kenna to sit on the bench the whole time she got to pick where we went for dessert when we were done....D.Q. it was....what a nice self portrait!

What a great time we had and a perfect first "Globetrotters" experience for the kids!

We made it ONE year....Whew!Happy Anniversary Chad....I Love You and Can't Wait For All the Years To Come!

And You Thought The Holidays Were Over....

for most they are....but not for us....we think dragging the holidays out over 2 weeks is fun!! So that's what we do! These were the latest events in our lives.....

I decided it was time.....time to attempt to make the famous cinnamon rolls

of my mother-in-law! I have never made any type of dough anything in my life so trying these oh so delicious rolls was very brave of me.....

We had Dwayne and Eve's boys(Jared and Drew) for a couple of days while they were hiking the Grand Canyon. Jared told Kenna he was helping his other Mom make rolls! And what a great helper he really was!! Showing my OVER excitement while putting the icing on because it was possible I was onto something ....something VERY good!

OH MY GOODNESS......I DID IT.....I called my Mom just to tell her....I think I made her proud! My Mother-in-Law came back from the hike and I was a little nervous to let her try one....but I passed....She like it!!

We also have had Chad's dog Angel (she usually lives at his parents) so she decided to find a skunk out in the backyard......

Luckily she didn't get sprayed to bad but WOW our house stunk.....and she is one strange dog...fill up the tub and in she jumps!

Of course we had to have a hair do session.....Again....I feel like I've done this before....

This evening we invited Rich, Linsey and the kids over for dinner while we waited for Dwayne, Eve, Fuzz, Noma and the crew to get back from the canyon....I forgot to take pictures of the "hikers" I think Eve would have killed me since she hadn't showered for 5 days....what a woman!!

Linsey made some GREAT chocolate fondue....YUM is all I have to say...Thanks for the extra weight Linsey....you lose it...we gain it!!

I had to add this picture only because last week when David was here he changed my

"Live Laugh Love" letters into "Hail Evil Olive" and I didn't even notice until a week later.....

Boy did he think he was funny.....Ok it was really funny!!

I officially think I'm going to need a vacation from my vacation.....and I still have 2 days to go!
