this is what I received in an email yesterday from our Information Officer at the City.......
"Residents are reminded to be prepared in case of snow-ins and poweroutages in these storms. Have extra bottled water and non-perishablefood on hand as well as flashlights, battery-powered radios and extrabatteries in your home. We also recommend winterizing your vehiclewithsnow tires, chains, blankets, water, a first aid kit, ice scraper, extraclothes, as well as keep the gas tank at least half full. "
They say we will have 2 count them 2 FEET by Friday on top of the 3 ft that are already there!!
So we're headed out of town today hopefully to beat the storm.....and hopefully we can get back home Thursday............MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!

Christmas Program????
Well it has almost officially been a year since Cayden, Kenna and I moved from Thatcher. One thing we hadn't had the chance to experience was a Christmas "Program" at the school here. Well at Cayden's old school a Christmas Program consisted of probably 300 kids and just as many parents and lasted well over an hour. If you wanted a seat....you went 30 minutes early! So when I got the note home from school that the 3rd graders were having a program I immediately started thinking...hmmm...how will I work this one since I am the only one to work my counter at work now. Anyway...long story...a little shorter...I worked it out. The "Program" was to start at 2:00 so I thought well I'll just have to sit in the back since I wasn't getting there until just about then....however to my surprise when I arrived there were I think 2 other parents! Ok I'll just end this story....the program was 2 of the 3rd grade classes singing I think 5 Christmas songs....lasted about 15 mins and I think when it was all said and done there were 20 parents there.......and boy was Cayden excited about having to stand next to these girls! Oh and by the way...Don't get me wrong the kids and teachers did a great job since they couldn't practice because of the 3 prior days being snow days.....we just now know what a "Program" means here!

LET IT SNOW...LET IT SNOW...LET IT SNOW!
Let it snow....because apparently I have no other choice in the matter! It has been snow, snow and more snow for the last three days!! It started Tuesday and hasn't stopped I think we have let's just say it's 3 feet....if it's not....it's close enough! So this was the 3rd snow day in a row for the kids and the roads this morning were really bad so they let us come into work a couple hours late.....so being the good person I am I went outside and started shoveling.....I HATE SHOVELING SNOW...just so you know! The snow was coming down as fast as I could uncover the sidewalk it would cover it and then it struck me something was wrong with this picture.....
The time in was.....yes you're reading that right 8:05
And this is what I found inside......
Cayden looking so disappointed he doesn't have to go to school.....
The sidewalk I so nicely shoveled the snow off......

Us....Boring.....I Think Not!
So I have come to accept the fact that as long as I am married to this guy......
I will NEVER have another dull weekend.......IN MY LIFE!! So this weekend brought more fun and excitement starting with a visit from September and Hayden. They came out to visit before Hayden leaves on his mission so we met them along with Rich and Linsey and the kids for dinner at Buffalo Wild Wings
On Saturday night we had our Ward Christmas Party. Chad and a few guys from our ward formed a band....I know you're surprised.....and played Christmas songs. They couldn't think of a name for their band however they were thinking maybe "E.Q." or "10%"!
All the kids enjoyed playing together and dancing to the music
Santa came in and got mauled by all the kids.....quite funny to see some of the kids reaction to Santa! However the night had just begun.....Chad had a show at one of the local "hot spots" that night also. So after he got done playing at the church off we ran to the next show!
"Bucket" doin what they do best! After the show was over and it was time to pack up we went outside and what did we find but a BLIZZARD!! So we ended the night in the snow didn't take a picture that night but the kids enjoyed playing in it after church on Sunday!
Winter has begun (just fyi its snowing right now and predicted to be a couple feet by morning just thought I'd share my sorrows with you pics to come) and another Crazy weekend under our belts!
Everyone in our ward was quite surprised that these guys could play.....and sound good!!
The kids had a blast dancing....even Little Cayden was dancing!!

Star Of The Week!
RiKenna was "Star of the Week" in her Kindergarten class this week. So when you're the "Star" you get to hang pictures up of you and your family. So here is RiKenna standing by her "Star Wall"

Her teacher Mrs. Carruthers makes a "Star Book" and has each of the other students write something nice about the "Star". Then on Friday during "Family Time" she reads the book to all the kids. Such a great idea!
On Friday for "Family Time" you can either do a project, read a book etc etc with the kids. Well as crafty as I am....stop laughing all of you.....I thought up this cute idea...all by myself mind you. I had them make these cute Christmas Ornaments.....they had a blast! This is the ornament Kenna made ....
With the exception of a couple little knock down drag outs about the stickers they were putting on the snowflakes the kids had a blast and were excited they could take them home that day!! Thank goodness there are great people in this world that are Teachers.....I was there an hour and it takes a special kind of person.....although I did really enjoy spending time in Kenna's class it was CRAZY!

Thanksgiving and Christmas Party Festivities
This year we spent Thanksgiving in Thatcher or Central or wherever my mother lives! Thanksgiving Day we all went over to Hy and Julie's and had the big feast with their family....so there were lots of us and we had lots of fun!

I guess Julie was to busy slaving away in the kitchen.....but here's Hyrum!
Annie and Wally getting a taste of the dessert! YUM!
Allison and Bethany with Aunt Marty showing us how to really party...zzzzzz!
Mike and Denise with a blur of Meijsha. Jacob with his adorable little girl. Janell picking at Tyler and the back of Brian's head....wow he's old and still has all his hair!
I guess Julie was to busy slaving away in the kitchen.....but here's Hyrum!
So since we were all at Mom's for Thanksgiving we decided to have our family Christmas Party that we usually have the first weekend in December. My Mom always has tons of stuff to keep ALL 14 kids busy

Somewhere during the day Dustin made a remark that he could take ALL the kids on at the same time......so they took him on.....after a few minor bumps and bruises Uncle Bub won!

Morgan told Santa she wanted a motor scooter....hmmmm....Santa better get to work!
Taylor wanted .....hmmmm.....she hadn't thought about it yet!
So they started out with a wild game of cootie......
Then they ALL made Gingerbread Houses......
This was the really cute picture I took of all the kids on the dirt hill.....before I sent them all into their dads to get their butts beat for getting all muddy!
Then Mom had the kids tie the knots around these fleece lap quilts and had the kids take them to this assisted living home where she does the hair for these little cute old ladies...and one man but he was sleeping. I think this was one of the kids favorite things of the whole day...they had so much fun because......
when we took the quilts the kids also sang songs to the ladies while Janell and Taylor played the piano......Wow how those ladies loved it.....made their entire day!
Then the kids got to open their Christmas present from Grandma.....Yea!! PJs!! All the kids looked so cute in their matching pajamas.....What a Grandma we have!
Then the highlight of every year......SANTA!!
And I promise RiKenna was there and wanted a baby but my cameras battery ran out so Janell took the rest of the pictures for me which means if she emails them to me as fast as she updates her blog I'm lookin at posting those pictures next year!! (Love ya Janell)
