Parents Drink Chocolate Milk?!?!?!

+
=
Chocolate Milk......
and guess what people....
Parents Drink It Too...
What brings me to this fabulous conclusion you might ask? Well as we were sitting at the kitchen table eating lunch this afternoon the kids decided they wanted chocolate milk with their lunch.....sounds good to me! Well we were almost done and Chad.....oh no not Chad....wanted chocolate milk too. So as he was pouring the chocolate into his cup of milk RiKenna in all of her funnyness (heehee what a word) said "Hey Chad, PARENTS drink chocolate milk?"
So if there is anyone else out there that doubts chocolate milk is JUST for kids.....think again my friends!

He's not only HOT.....He's Smokin Hot.....

Tonight while we were once again at a local "hot spot" Chad received ANOTHER fine invitation....
HA HA....Okay so we were at a little different kind of "hot spot" tonight.....the ward party?!!? An "unidentified" hiliarious member of our ward walked by and handed Chad this napkin. I thought I was going to die (if you haven't seen my last post....go read it.....then you'll laugh) We laughed SO hard.....however when I tried to take "her" picture to attach to the "invitation" she wouldn't let me because ....hmm....for some reason she thought maybe she might show up on my blog....no idea where that idea came from...but..... I did get "her" hubby.....so I guess if you know him....."SHE" is no longer unidentified!!
Great Party, Great Friends.....HILARIOUS joke...Thanks for the GREAT laugh Jeanna...oops! :)

My Husband is HOT!!

I am apparently not the only one that thinks my husband is hot! Chad's band played a show on Friday night at one of the local "hot spots" and while in the middle of singing he received this.....on a napkin no less.......
(let me help it says: I think you are hot! Wanna buy me a drink? Holly 928-637-4182)

So this brings me to a few thoughts:
#1. There are a lot of desperate people in this town.....not just girls!
#2. Shouldn't she be buying him a drink.....it would have been cheap....I mean c'mon water?!?
#3. You should NEVER give your phone number out to someone that has a wife that has a blog...heeeheee.....cause she might just post it for all to see!!
#4. She didn't even stay long enough for him to buy her a drink.....I think when he walked off stage and sat down by me for a break......he wasn't so hot after all!!
So if any of you blog stalkers out there.....yeah you know who you are.....are bored of blog stalking....give Holly a call I'm sure she'd love to chat!!

By the way.....sometimes the best part of the show is to watch all the girls try and impress MY husband.....and then.....watch him walk out the door with ME!! Ha Ha Silly Girls!

Uncle Bub is all growed up!

Well Uncle Bub (A.K.A. My youngest brother Dustin) has been called to serve a mission here...
the Philippines, Manila Mission. So on Saturday we headed down to Mesa so Chad and I could go through the Temple with Dustin! How crazy it was to be in the Temple with my little PUNK brother....but so proud of him and so glad we were able to be there with him! So after the Temple we headed to lunch with everyone that went to the temple...
Tyler and Janell, Dustin and Chad....
Mom and Don and Fuzz and Noma (Chad's parents) Eve and Dwaye(Chad's bro and wife were at the temple but didn't make it to lunch....they're fired from the family!)
After we did the Temple and Lunch we went back to Janell's cousins house where we stayed.
Unc Chad and Maci chillin.....
Despite the water being a "little" chilly we let the kids swim....
Chad just can't figure out why the kids run from him everytime he gets close to them.....not sure Jayse is laughing....Chad is though!
I think they enjoyed layin out on the warm concrete after the ice cold water.
The kids fall for this "Water Buffalo" trick every time..... The kids got SOAKED!!
After the cold swim we took the kids to the park .....

Congratulations Dustin on your mission call...we think you're gonna do great!

There's Nothing Left.....

for this little girl to catch.

Ever since RiKenna was born she has been sick.....not really.....but seriously she is sick ALL of the time. So of course this week has been absolutely NO exception. I took her in....like the good Mom I am....haha...on Thursday for a Well-Child Check (which should really be called the What's Wrong now check) while I was there I was talking to the Dr. about Kenna's asthma (she's had the same cough now for um....months?) and how I once upon a time had all this medicine that I had gotten shortly before we moved to Flagstaff but had now run out.....anyhow....LONG story short.....she listened to her lungs and said yep she sounds like she has asthma let's get her back on the asthma medications and see how she does. So like the good Mom I am.....
We now do a Albeutrol and Pulmicort breathing treatment.... oh not just once but TWICE a day.....oh how we love it.....not really.....but seriously it's a pain in the {insert text here}! Not only did she suggest the breathing treatments but she also suggested that it's possible allergies could be causing the asthma to get worse SOOOO.... We also fight about taking this every morning.......mornings are so lovely at our house now! So since the little munchkin is in school and her teacher (heaven help her) has to listen to this little darling cough all day we received two of these.....
I spared you the picture of the other one but she also takes her inhalers to school with her with the lovely spacer to go along with them.

So life was going along just great until Friday afternoon.....ring....ring....who could it be but the school nurse calling to tell me that RiKenna has a 102 degree fever.....UGH....is all I have to say! I thought to myself how can anything be wrong we were just at the Dr. and she said everything was GREAT!! So once again being the wonderful Mom I am.....we went home and watched movies.....surely a little Motrin and life will be good! Well Saturday and Sunday rolled around she ran a slight fever but nothing to get excited about....I'm sure she's just getting used to the medicine again right.....Monday is the same and Tuesday comes....ring...ring....School Nurse calling RiKenna has now thrown up all over the gym floor and is once again running a fever....Ok wonderful Mom 5 days with a fever....something is wrong. Ring...Ring....I call the Dr. and the Dr. says bring RiKenna right in again (haha I crack myself up sometimes) So off to the Dr. again....this time we see another Dr. because the one from the other day is off.....oh those Dr. hours.....however this is a good thing... a fresh pair of eyes decides that something could possibly be wrong so she sends us to get a chest x-ray. She doesn't make us wait any longer and reads the x-ray herself and then swabs for the Flu....you guessed it....she has it! So the Dr. writes a couple prescriptions (the 11th one in 5 days) and tells me that she will call me if the radiologist says anything different about the "dark spot" in the bottom left lung. So now we have added....
A teaspoon of each of these to our morning......Well if you thought my day was done.....it's not....I got a call from the Dr. this morning...."How's she doing Becky?" My reply "Well I guess she's trying to sleep something off because she is still asleep!" (she called at 11:30 this a.m.!!) She said well I'm glad I gave you the antibiotic yesterday because the radiologist called me back this morning and the "dark spot" appears to be pneumonia......OH LOVELY....those weren't my words or my thoughts but you get it! So needless to say I have been home the last 2 days and will be home for 1 more tomorrow with my endlessly sick child.......not to mention I have set a record of prescriptions ....the pharmacist knows mine and Kenna's name......not good!!
One more thought for everyone that is thinking I'm crazy for not knowing my child is REALLY sick.....she has NEVER acted sick.....NEVER has and I don't think she ever will. I'm not sure she knows what it feels like to feel good! Poor kid ....they keep telling me she'll grow out of it...I guess when she's 40....everything great happens then right!!

These very fine friends.....Brian and Sommer...then we were off to Chad's show
"Whiskey Rodeo" doin what they do best!
Sommer did a lot of this......soda people just soda.....so she spent a lot of time....
Here....you can't really see it but the sign says "Restrooms" that would be her walking to them while a couple random girls watch her....hmmm strange..
Then Brian caught Sommer showing me her "Booty" Dance.....hilarious!
We had left our 2 kids and their 3 kids home with a sitter....whom I called a few times to make sure she wasn't tied up....whew she answered the phone. However, we got home at about 1:30 A.M......Cayden and Jonathan were STILL AWAKE....wow was Cayden a grump this morning for church!! Anyway, we had so much fun with Brian and Sommer and can't wait to do it again!

Cardiff Faces?????!?!?

I'm really not EVEN gonna try and explain this at all.....In fact I'm not even sure I would be able to explain this.....but for some reason I get my camera out and this is what happens......

I think Jack's last name was really Cardiff
And after you live with this guy for a REALLY long time.......
This is what happens!!!
And then there are some that are still in Cardiff face training.....
Linsey and I have clearly not been in the family long enough.....although Linsey is definitely getting closer than myself!
I swear my child never acted this way until he started hangin out with these people!
And then there are some that are just plain cute......

*Disclaimer: As CRAZY as the Cardiff family is....you would never find a better "In-Law" family to have! Thanks for keepin me and my kiddos.....or Chad......one of the two!!

Alissa's baptism=Crazy Family Weekend!

Friday after work we jumped in the car and headed to Farmington for this cute girl's baptism....

Alissa and David Amy and Alissa Amy, Alissa and David

After the baptism there was some of the good stuff and the kids took the chance to run around the church like wild animals......surprise surprise Kortlin??, Nana, Eve and Kelsi?? Eve, Kelsi?, Jack and Barb Amy and the kiddos Jack and Paige......she wanted me to wait to take her picture when her mouth wasn't full....but I'm just not like that....sorry Paige love ya! Rich and Linsey Eve, Dwayne and the funchy bunch Barb, Jack and their wild monkeys Me and I have absolutely NO explanation for this man.....wrong that's all I have to say...I try to take a simple self portrait and this is what I get....jeez I can't take him anywhere! All the kids....that I only convinced to hold still because they could stand on chairs! Ryan and Amy......I think Ryan loves Aunt Amy because she makes him feel even taller....sorry Amy we love you! :)

After we got done destroying the church we moved on to the Wells Fargo building (David has some kind of important title or something so we can do that)

We ordered pizza to feed an army....no really it's just like an army!
Kelsi and I doing our self portrait of the evening....yes she is VOLUNTARILY sitting in my lap and smiling!
There were about 15 rooms the kids were running in and out of playing hide-n-seek and tag. This was a big "board" room where.....
OH you're surprised....we played Rockband.....but this time it was on the projector....did you really think we could have a family function without Rockband...NEVER it's a permanent fixture in the family!
The "Lunch Room"
All the girls chowin down on pizza and soda!
We had a great time with all the family and we're proud of Alissa for her decision to be baptized!
