Friday night Chad's band played a show (surprise surprise oh and there's no pictures oops) we left Braxton in charge and came home to a room full of blanket forts and zonked out kids! Saturday we went to the Grand Canyon.....kids yeah not to excited by "Its just a big hole"! Saturday evening we went to Buffalo Wild Wings for dinner then off to the ice skating rink where we had a blast! So here's all the pictures....make up whatever stories you want to go along with them.......I'm STILL tired!

Mr. Mom....and The Test

For the past 3 count them 1, 2, 3 months I have been studying for a test that I had to take as a requirement for my job. The contents of the test were on this:
Probably the most boring reading one will ever have to put themself through is the International Building Codes. This is only 1 of 4 books that I had to study.....it was awful. Part of studying for this test required that I spend a week....yes folks I said a WEEK...in Tucson for training. Tucson...for real?!!? Anyway while I was away I learned just how much my husband loves me and what a great husband he is. I had to leave Cayden and Kenna here with him all week to go to school which meant.....breakfast, lunches, Kenna's hair (which he impressed me), getting dressed, off to school, homework, scouts, gymnastics, dinner, baths, Kenna's nightly lubing (ugh that exema sp?), scriptures, prayers, and not to mention the ward trunk-or-treat fell right in the middle of it all. He is such a good sport he even dressed up......Amy said "I'm so proud he's my bro-in-law when I see that picture!) HA HA I think its hilarious and wish I could have been there to see it.
Cayden was some kind of sorcerer dude...not really sure but Chad did a great make-up job and Kenna was of course Tinkerbell....and what a cute one she was!

After I got done with my week long training I had to study a little more and schedule my test. So back to Tucson I went over the weekend and took the dreaded test.........and PASSED!!! Yea! I was so happy because not only is it hard but it's expensive so I only wanted to take it once! So I'm an officially certified Permit Tech.....oohhhhawww that sounds important...WHATEVER...its done!!
I'm so happy I have a great husband that drudged (is that a word) through and helped me through all of this and it's DONE!!

The Teacher..The Gangsta..The Maid..And The Robot!

Last night we were all just hangin out in the living room after eating a container of jerky and watching SpongeBob SquarePants (what the?!?!) when Kenna grabbed the empty container and decided to be our "Teacher"! She got the stool and put it in front of her "class" and preceded to teach us about the "dry poop" she collects! I'm sitting here typing this still laughing it was the funniest thing.....because she was dead serious about it and kept telling us to "Look Up Here" & "Pay Attention to Your Teacher Right Now"! Not sure what the money in the bag was about though!
Then tonight I was in the kitchen making lunches for the kids tomorrow and Kenna comes in and says "Mom look I'm a gangsta"! I thought I was gonna pee my pants I was laughing so hard because this is what she looked like....pants on her head shirt on her legs and socks on her hands! Now that's gangsta if I've ever seen it!
Then she decided it was her turn to do the dishes tonight......Maid....Like I'm gonna argue. So she pulled the chair up to the sink and washed away....
I was still making lunches and she turned to me and said "Mom look the robot"! Oh my.....where is this kid getting all of this....Here's her Robot...
I gotta love my funny kid....she is always doing something silly that makes us all laugh!
P.S. Hey Gaylyne where's YOUR blog....Ya Big Stalker!! :)

Alas.......The Pictures Have Been Saved!

I was so excited tonight that I just had to blog about it. When we took the "no memory" memory card from the broken camera to Sam's Club tonight lo and behold.......THE BAPTISM PICTURES WERE THERE!!! I had to have them stored on to a CD which required me to store ALL 478 pictures that were on the memory card to the CD but I didn't care.....I HAVE THE BAPTISM PICTURES!! So what I'm saying is pictures are coming!!....YEA!! And Chad is VERY happy to be out of "THE DOG HOUSE"!

Time Flies When You're Having Fun......with a little added Disaster!

Over the weekend my Dad asked me "Did you ever think when you were 16 you would be sitting in Benson, Az on the back porch enjoying the weather?" My response was "Nope and I really didn't think I would be in Benson, Az for MY 8 year old son's baptism!!" I can't believe its already been 8 years since I had that dreaded hospital stay only to go home with the cutest little boy ever that is all grown up now. Cayden wanted Tyler to baptize him so he decided to wait a couple of months and do it at the same time that Tyler's son Jayse would be baptised also. So on Saturday both boys were baptized and confirmed by Tyler in Benson. It was such a great baptism with my Mom giving a talk on baptism, Janell's Mom talking on confirmation, my Dad bearing his testimony and all the kids sang "If the Savior Stood Beside Me". I am so thankful to have a brother like Tyler that is such a good example to my son and worthy to baptize him ( and thump him on the head when he gets out of line!) I still can't believe that I have a son old enough to be baptized but I am so glad he made that choice. So now you're wondering why I said a little added disaster aren't you......well let me tell you what happened next!!
We took tons of pictures of the boys in their baptism clothes with families, grandpas, sisters, moms etc etc. I even told Janell oh don't worry I'll take some of Jayse too so you can get ready. My dad told me before we headed to the church "I'm not going to take my camera because it turns into a flash fest so make sure you email me some pictures." Of course I said "Sure NO problem!" We head over to the church baptism is over we take more pictures of the boys in suits etc etc. I hand the camera to Chad who thinks he needs to take a picture of me and then.......it happens........the camera........the cement......they meet!!!! Yes its true the camera was dropped on the cement in the on position and will NOT turn back on! So I say to myself "Self it's ok because we'll just get the pictures off of the memory card when we get home....everything will be ok." So today Chad took the memory card to his office and tried to get the pictures off......."NO MEMORY"..............WOW I don't even know what to say at this point besides "Dad you might want to take your camera next time!" Anyway besides the camera it was a great weekend and I'm so proud of Cayden and Jayse for their great decisions to be baptized and for Tyler for being a great Uncle and Brother.
