The Love of My Life.......and Family Home Evening!

There is this wonderful chocolate pudding, cream cheese and whipped cream dessert that in our family we call "Chocolate Pudding Dessert", however I have now renamed that chocolate pudding dessert to "The Love of My Life". I absolutely could eat an entire pan of this non-fat (ha ha) dessert by myself.....I know hard to believe. So what does "The Love of My Life" have to do with Family Home Evening......Good Question!

Awhile back Chad took Cayden out to the Fathers and Sons campout and quickly learned that Mark Moore also plays the guitar so after keeping the rest of the camp up for a few hours while they played they decided we should get together for FHE some night! Tonight was the night! So out came "The Love of My Life" and off to the Moore's house we went.

Stacy was kind enough to make a great dinner that the kids loved!

And So did the "Dads"

Mark and Chad played the guitars while a few of the kids sang.

The Girls hiding in the corner playing with dolls.

Mark and Stacy enjoying the great dinner......not wanting her picture taken!

And then there is the making of "The Love of My Life"

Cayden is a great model hopefully he'll make a lot of money some day and he can support me!

The Flagstaff cooling rack.....on the front porch!

UMMM......coming together quite nicely!

The finished product...........and the pan came home empty!

We had a great time at the Moore's and can't wait to do it again....Thanks Mark and Stacy!

Cayden's 8th Birthday

Over the weekend we also celebrated Cayden's birthday....well kinda....so he got a turtle for his birthday that he named Speedy....yeah go figure!

Then a few members of the fam came for the big bday and also to hear Chad's bands play at the fair. . . Did I mention it rained a little bit...hence the plastic bag on my mom's head..HA HA HA gotta love her!!

A few weeks before Cayden's bday he kept telling me he wanted a "surprise party" I just kept telling him how can it be a surprise if you keep telling me to do it. So his repsonse was "Just don't tell me your doing it" So I didn't tell him and after Chad played at the fair we went to dinner at Chili's and we had them "surprise" him and sing Happy Birthday....This was his face when he realized they were singing to him....HA HA priceless!

At Chili's with Grandma, Grandpa, Cayden and RiKenna (the real party animal....sound asleep!)

Arizona Snowbowl.....In the SummerTime

I'm now a marathon blogger!! Over the weekend we took the kids up to Snowbowl to ride the SkyRide.....basically the ski lift in the summertime. However, it turned out to be a pretty cloudy day and was only 30 degrees at the top...SOOOO we decided to do it another weekend when we came more prepared...like with our parkas! But while we were up there we decided to take a few pictures of the beautiful scenery. I think we live in the most beautiful part of Arizona!!

This would be our "self" family picture!

Please notice my cute daughter not the fact that I really need to get my hair redone!!

These pictures were actually taken just down the road from our house!

We had so much snow and now so much rain these wild yellow flowers are everywhere...Its so beautiful...just a little hard on the allergies!

A Few Of Chad's Favorite Things!!

"Bucket"

"The Bike"

"Whiskey Rodeo"

I have given in to all the peer pressure!

Okay Okay....I have given in on the bloggin scene!! I'm here....so now what do I do! I decided to use the great idea of my sis-n-law Lindsey and use this as a journal....so at least I can say I keep a journal...just a different kind of journal. So heres what you're going to get.....a whirlwind of the last year of our crazy life.

Chad and I met a little over a year ago, got married in January '08, I moved to Flagstaff with my two kids, and now we're living happily ever after.....or something very close to that!! Together we have four kids. Chad has two daughters Taylor (12) and Morgan (10) that spend most of their time in Utah but come to spend time with us during the summer breaks and on the holidays. I have a son and a daughter Cayden (8) and RiKenna (5). So when we all get together its a crazy place but we have a lot of fun. I now appreciate everything my mom went thru when she "mixed" families.....WOW!!

Chad works for RSC Equipment Rental as a Business Development Manager ....ummm don't ask me what that is because I don't know either! All I know is that he travels around the state a lot and gets paid for it! I recently quit Chase Bank after 12 years and I'm now working for the City of Flagstaff in the Building Department where I issue building permits. . . . which I actually know nothing about building :) but I love my job and its stress free!!

Chad also plays in two bands. One band called "Bucket" which he started he sings and plays guitar. The other band "Whiskey Rodeo" he just joined a few months ago (because he just had so much spare time..ugh!) he plays bass and sings back up. Playing music is probably his favorite thing to do with riding his Harley Davidson coming in a close second. Music and Harley riding have both kinda grown on me and I really enjoy going to his shows and taking an afternoon ride on the bike. Oh did I mention he loves his boat too.....and the lake!

We enjoy spending lots of time as a family and I am so glad I found such a wonderful man....or he found me.....however it happened I'm glad it did!
