Another Crazy Cardiff Weekend......at the Prom

It was that time of year again to head over to Kingman for the Prom. Eve puts on a great "2nd Chance Prom" for her Stake for everyone 16 and older. So the WHOLE Cardiff family (ok with the exception of Tom and September) all pile in to go dance the night away......let me just mention that means there's 17 kids left at home......which means TOTAL chaos...but lots of fun...speaking of fun....

Dwayne really knows how to get a party started....

Dwayne and Eve got a really cool pool from their neighbor and the kids loved it....

until Uncle David got in......

haha that was Taylor, Morgan and David....
So this year for the Dance Chad and I thought it would be funny to get our outfits at the thrift store and go 70's style.....

My dress.....was actually a skirt.....Chad's pants....um he owned them WTF Chad?!?! Most people looked at us and weren't quite sure if I really thought I looked good....until they saw Chad....they knew it was a joke.....

I still don't have the dumb Cardiff face down.....still working on it....Amy she's got it down...

Oh those Cardiff boys always tryin to get fresh with their wives...Dwayne there is a time and place for that jeez......

Noma even took the time to make flowers for all of us.....felt like we were back in High School pinning them on.....

Chad even dances the part of those SKIN TIGHT pants....

Dwayne takin it back to High School dancing with Linsey.....she LOVED it...

Chad had to take his chance with Linsey too......and yes that is SWEAT on his shirt....ewww I'm sorry Linsey...haha

The boys trying to get the "All the Single Ladies" dance down......should have put a ring on it boys....

Gotta have a little YMCA......nice sweat rings Chad...that's HOT

Noma showin her kids up on the dance floor....
The BEST part of the whole weekend was going to dinner with all the adults and having Papa Fuzz and Nana Noma announce their newest mission call......
Noma reading the letter that they have been called to the Johannesburg, South Africa Mission.....and Barbara celebrating she guessed right!

Congratulations Papa Fuzz and Nana we are so happy for you. We will miss you(and your scones) while you're gone but we know you'll do a great job!! We Love You!
Thanks Eve for a GREAT weekend!

The Name Game

Cayden's third grade class put on a play today called "The Name Game". Some of the kids dressed up as fairytale characters and they told hints about themselves and the "teams" made up of the Three Little Pigs and The Three Bears were on a game show to guess who the characters were.........

Cayden was Paul Bunyon.....can't you tell how excited he was to be wearing a long sleeve flannel shirt in the music room that was 100 degrees!.....What a cute Paul Bunyon he was though
At the end all of the characters introduced themselves and did their bow!

Great Job Cayden you did Awesome!!

The New Bike.....That We Weren't Getting

A couple of weeks ago Chad said "I'm selling my bike to William and I'm getting the Road King I test drove the other day." Me: "Ummm....No." So today we went riding on the New Road King he test drove a couple weeks ago....UGH....that boy and his toys
I will have to admit.....I LOVE to ride!
Today we rode up to Jerome with a friend of ours Seven....yup that's his name.....when we stopped he said "We're like the land of the giants" Ha ha
We went to the "Haunted Hamburger" which is the BEST place to eat in Jerome.....YUM!
However there was a little bit of a wait because it is the BEST place everyone goes there.....since I'm now truly a "Flagstaff" weather kind of gal.....it was hot....and I needed shade!
Seven showin us the way......
People watching is also great in Jerome.....of course Chad and Seven had to see all the bikes so they could compare
Ummm....we stopped at Cold Stone and got some Ice Cream....I think the heat got to them?!?!
We found this nice giraffe that the boys made friends with......and then we went home and took a nap!

Slide Rock, Rowdy Crowd, Mother's Day, and Flagstaff History.....

all in a nutshell people. Life has overtaken and I haven't had time to blog....yes I said it NO TIME!! Okay whew that's out of my system......so here it is peeps the last week of randomness...It all started with a trip to Slide Rock in Sedona on Saturday....
the weather was absolutely beautiful....the water not so much....a little to cold for my liking but...
not for the kids and Chad....as Chad is showing his "guns"
the water was running pretty good to make some good sliding action...
Kenna really wanted to go but wasn't quite sure about what happened when she got to the bottom
Chad really never cares how cold the water is or what happens at the end of the slide...
Cayden found that he was a little to "boney" to go down on his stomach...
we had so much fun and we're ready to go back!
Later that night....since we hadn't worn ourselves out enough yet we invited some friends "The Rowdy Crowd" to go out to dinner and then to Chad's show....
Wow did this group bring out some "interesting" conversation! HaHa thanks guys we had a blast!.....But it didn't end there.....it was off to the show where

Brian and Sommer did their thang on the dance floor.....or at the table....sweet moves guys!
Then of course Sunday was Mother's Day and the kids were so cute they made me a Mother's Day "garden"......a.k.a replanted a few weeds, small trees and pine needles..but
they were so proud!
And how would a week be complete if you didn't have to do a diorama of the early history of Flagstaff......it wouldn't be complete so that's what we did.....
Here's the finished product we came up with......."flag staff" and all (if you don't know about the flag staff.....go look it up!)

A little spray paint and....
and a little glue do wonders for the history of Flagstaff!
So there it is people just what you've been waiting for......the update....don't lie I know you wait for it!

Bobcats and Dinosaurs.....

Tuesday night Cayden received his Bobcat award at pack meeting..
This was the longest he held still for me to get a picture of him..
Our ward has a funny "tradition" to hold the boys upside down while they pin the bobcat pin on their Mom....not sure why I'm holding his head back besides that he wouldn't hold it still and I didn't want to get stuck with the pin!
The theme of the pack meeting was about dinosaurs so they boys got to tell dino jokes.....and boy were they funny.....
Then they acted like dinos....haha
And for dessert.....they ate like dinos!
Congratulations Cayden you did great!
