The New Bike.....That We Weren't Getting

A couple of weeks ago Chad said "I'm selling my bike to William and I'm getting the Road King I test drove the other day." Me: "Ummm....No." So today we went riding on the New Road King he test drove a couple weeks ago....UGH....that boy and his toys

I will have to admit.....I LOVE to ride!

Today we rode up to Jerome with a friend of ours Seven....yup that's his name.....when we stopped he said "We're like the land of the giants" Ha ha

We went to the "Haunted Hamburger" which is the BEST place to eat in Jerome.....YUM!
However there was a little bit of a wait because it is the BEST place everyone goes there.....since I'm now truly a "Flagstaff" weather kind of gal.....it was hot....and I needed shade!

People watching is also great in Jerome.....of course Chad and Seven had to see all the bikes so they could compare

Ummm....we stopped at Cold Stone and got some Ice Cream....I think the heat got to them?!?!

We found this nice giraffe that the boys made friends with......and then we went home and took a nap!

Slide Rock, Rowdy Crowd, Mother's Day, and Flagstaff History.....

all in a nutshell people. Life has overtaken and I haven't had time to blog....yes I said it NO TIME!! Okay whew that's out of my system......so here it is peeps the last week of randomness...It all started with a trip to Slide Rock in Sedona on Saturday....

the weather was absolutely beautiful....the water not so much....a little to cold for my liking but...
not for the kids and Chad....as Chad is showing his "guns"

the water was running pretty good to make some good sliding action...

Kenna really wanted to go but wasn't quite sure about what happened when she got to the bottom

Chad really never cares how cold the water is or what happens at the end of the slide...

Cayden found that he was a little to "boney" to go down on his stomach...

we had so much fun and we're ready to go back!

Later that night....since we hadn't worn ourselves out enough yet we invited some friends "The Rowdy Crowd" to go out to dinner and then to Chad's show....

Wow did this group bring out some "interesting" conversation! HaHa thanks guys we had a blast!.....But it didn't end there.....it was off to the show where


Brian and Sommer did their thang on the dance floor.....or at the table....sweet moves guys!

Then of course Sunday was Mother's Day and the kids were so cute they made me a Mother's Day "garden"......a.k.a replanted a few weeds, small trees and pine needles..but

they were so proud!

And how would a week be complete if you didn't have to do a diorama of the early history of Flagstaff......it wouldn't be complete so that's what we did.....

Here's the finished product we came up with......."flag staff" and all (if you don't know about the flag staff.....go look it up!)

A little spray paint and....

and a little glue do wonders for the history of Flagstaff!

So there it is people just what you've been waiting for......the update....don't lie I know you wait for it!

Bobcats and Dinosaurs.....

Tuesday night Cayden received his Bobcat award at pack meeting..

This was the longest he held still for me to get a picture of him..
Our ward has a funny "tradition" to hold the boys upside down while they pin the bobcat pin on their Mom....not sure why I'm holding his head back besides that he wouldn't hold it still and I didn't want to get stuck with the pin!

The theme of the pack meeting was about dinosaurs so they boys got to tell dino jokes.....and boy were they funny.....

Then they acted like dinos....haha

And for dessert.....they ate like dinos!

Dustin's "Non-Farewell"

So since it's illegal to have farewells in sacrament meeting now we headed down to Dustin's non-farewell and listened to him speak in church before he headed off for the MTC.....today actually!!

So I'm not really sure but Chad and I make it look like we had a really rough weekend....maybe it was the 6...yes I said 6 dozen cinnamon rolls I made....WOW

Dustin and all his goofy friends....I swear boys weren't this goofy when I was that age....okay maybe they were

I told them to be dorks.....this is all they had.....amateurs...

We had fun hangin out at Grandma's house and we're glad Dustin chose to go on a mission and we know he'll be a great Missionary!

L to the A to the Z to the Y......

pretty much that is me....."blog lazy" so here is the happenings of the last week....or so! Started with Easter.....wow so the Easter Bunny was a little "lazy" also....ok maybe a little forgetful so this is what you get at Target at 9 p.m. on "Easter Eve".....

This is the "baskets" I filled with candy for Taylor and Morgan.....pretty creative if you ask me!!

Chad and I spent Easter traveling to St. George to get Taylor and Morgan for their Spring Break....(thanks Brian and Sommer for watching Cayden and Kenna!!)

So surprise surprise.....they played RockBand! Rich, Linsey and the kids spent a lot of time with us that week too.....but once again I was LAZY and didn't take very many pictures!

Thursday we went to Linsey's for dinner ...Great Food!! Thanks Linsey!!

Friday we headed back up to St. George to take the girls back and just happened to find ourselves in Las Vegas for the weekend.........and had I taken any pictures it's quite possible they might have turned out something like this.............

Chad had Hilton points so we go 2 F to the R to the E to the E nights at the Las Vegas Hilton....oh how I love that word....FREE!!
Friday night we went to Benihana's.......YUM! If you've never gone and have a "little" hehe money to spend on dinner....GO its great!
Ah the pool....how I love thee....especially with the sun shining so nicely down on me! Spent lots of time there too!
Oh and then the roughest part of the whole weekend was Saturday morning massages.....oh how rough it was.....
So rough we had to come back to our room and take a nap....of course after we laid out by the pool for awhile!!

Pretty much it was to much trouble to get my camera out in Vegas.....really rough weekend we had......pretty much ready to go back!!

Pine Wood Derby

Hmmmm.....I have nothing funny or clever to say......just got nothin but the pictures to prove that my kid....yes MY kid is already old enough to do the Pine Wood Derby. Chad and Cayden had fun building the "pimp" mobile. Cayden didn't win (yea....oops did I say that??) but all of the boys had a really good time racing their cars.
