Labor Day Madness

Okay FORGET IT....I've tried 3 times now to get this stupid post on here...and it keeps screwing up so just make up whatever you want about it....In short we had a house full over Labor Day weekend and we had a blast.....

Who knew our crazy steep driveway could provide so much cool entertainment....

The kids had a little dance party....

House that is!! We just moved....YIPPEE! We really enjoyed the house we have been in for the last little while.....but it was time for a change.....actually it was WAY passed time for a change....So here's the video of the old house..

As you can hear the kids have already found their friends across the street so they can repel off the rocks, ride bikes and play in the water fountain out back. Chad has strong feelings about the wood hutch he had to move....and swears it will be firewood before he'll move it again....we'll see!! We obviously just got everything moved in and haven't gotten situated but we already love all the room we have now! Hence the 35 second video of the old house and the 3 minute video of the new house.....yea for space!! Oh yeah I can't wait to not have to listen to the kids fight over who has to clean what part of the room.....they get to clean their OWN!!

Lake Powell and Cayden's Birthday

Over the weekend we took off and went to Lake Powell for the last run of the summer and kinda for Cayden's birthday.....

We were out on the Lake and saw these "goats"?!?! On top of the rocks there were a whole pack of them......pretty cool stuff....I know you're impressed...

Cayden showing off his sweet kneeboarding skills.....he really does well for learning not to long ago....he takes after his Mom....oh wait I can't kneeboard...but he's cute?!?!

Lots of dirt playing.....as long as they were quiet....cause we had some grumpy old people next to us that threatened the kids with their dog.....ummm....the dog was really nice....whatever grumpy people...

Of course the self-portrait....you really didn't think you'd get out of a self portrait did you...

Chad hangin with our friends Brian and Sommer that came with us....take special note of the nice awning that is attached to the trailer.....it wasn't there for long..

Here's me.....I had some cysts removed a week ago I wasn't supposed to get into the water....I will never tell if I ended up getting in the water......

Chad and Cayden cliff jumping....oh wait they weren't cliff jumping that's against the law....they were just checking the water depth...

Chad thought he could measure it better by doing a canon ball.....

But instead they decided to just synchronize swim instead....

So as I mentioned early to take special note of the awning and how clean the boat is for that matter.....Along came a windstorm from HELL....65 mph winds for 90 minutes...Chad told Brian "Hey lets put the awning up before the storm comes." Brian says "Oh it will be okay it's tied down!".....well here is the awning now...

gone....completely torn off the trailer....guess Chad has a little wisdom in his old age...

The boat had about 3 inches of dirt in the bottom....

The carpet is really blue not brown.....

Here's a FUNNY video of Chad and Brian trying to NOW take the awning down in the middle of the storm....as you can hear Sommer and I thought it was hilarious...


Then Sommer felt bad and went out to help......which almost made it more funny because she's pregnant.....obviously!

So since we survived the sand storm and had a blast at Lake Powell Monday night we headed to Chili's to celebrate Cayden's actual birthday with Rich, Linsey and the kids....

Of course he got sung to by the Chili's waiters and got some GOOD cake.....

We went home afterwards and let Cayden open his presents.....which by the way we had him convinced the box was golf balls.....

He literally started crying when he opened the Nintendo DS that his Dad and us got for him....along with gift cards and money from Aunt Linsey and Unc Rich to buy some games....Thanks guys!!

He was trying to stop crying and smile......

Happy 9th Birthday Cayden We Love You!!

My Amazing (he made me say it) Brother and his Photo Skillz....

While my Brother Tyler and his wife Janell were here we went out to take new family pictures. Despite some crazy wind and Chad's schedule disaster these are a few of the ones we got...there are tons more...I'm WAITING....

The Whole ShaBang....

We managed to fit in a baptism, a wedding, a birthday and a farewell in true Cardiff style...

I think Tom really wanted to be part of my "Butts" post I did awhile back...

This is the way we all kinda felt when it was over....I warned September I was going to put her "Cardiff" face on my blog....couldn't resist!! We were so glad Tom and September were able to come out but we missed they boys! Here's the SOME of the rest of the pictures I took....you make up the captions :)
This would be the birthday boy and Linsey.....Chad gave him Apple Jacks because the other 8 boxes we gave him weren't enough..... Tom topped it off with a cute pink bowl and spoon...Dwayne got some very cute pink golf balls and David gave him a jersey of his FAVORITE (like bff favorite style) Utah Jazz :)

Our Fam with Fuzz and Noma.....wow are we going to miss them!! Hmm maybe I can hijack the plane...I'll work on that...

Drew got baptized in the midst of the chaos....we're so proud of him!

Then there were the skits......Oh My Gosh....that's all I have to say.....these are so funny I had to put them all on here....

The kids always have a great time making up dances, songs and skits when they get together. Even the BIG boys got into this time. We are so proud of Drew for getting baptized, we're so happy Tom and September got to come spend time with us and we're especially going to miss Nana and Papa Fuzz while they're gone.....even if we do know that what they're doing is GREAT!

P.S. I know some of you have been anxiously awaiting this post....sorry if I disappointed but I'm working on another project for Fuzz and Noma and really need to get it done....so this post was kinda boring....sorry....better post next time.....on to the next project ....PEACE OUT
